There are three kinds of people in this world. Only three.

There is, firstly, the Civilians: the most populous of the three. They are the normal people you see everyday on the street: the men in suits checking their watches, or that one person in the subway that stands a little too close. They're the soccer moms, the soldiers in the military, the politicians -- even the world leaders. They lead their lives in the innocent ignorance that they are not in danger. They are also very, very naive.

The second class is the most dangerous. They are dangerous because they look exactly like Civilians. They can blend into any crowd, any place, any situation. Approximately one in every thousand is one of them, and you would be none the wiser. They are women, men, even children; and they are ruthless.

They are Dragons.

Since before written time, they have lived among us. They are dragons in the traditional sense of the word, with scaly hides and reptilians eyes. You can see proof of their influence all throughout history, from St. George of England to the Dragon King of China: they were -- are -- everywhere.

But they have adapted. To the eye, they do not appear as they truly are. To everyone else, they are very simply people. It is under this guise that they strike: whether it be from some unknown vendetta, or perhaps for food is unknown, but the Dragons make sure that wherever they go, they leave a string of human corpses in their wake.

Practically all major disasters -- the Shaanxi Province Earthquake of 1556, the Sinking of the Titanic, the Destruction of the Kaifeng seawall in 1642 -- could be attributed to the enemy. And no one is the wiser.

Except for a select few: the final group, the Hunters.

They are easily the scarcest of the three. They are those descended from the great warriors from the old times: those capable of not only identifying, but destroying the Dragons. They dedicate their lives to the survival of the human race, and the destruction of the serpentines. Every Hunter is aided by a Mage, one who cannot tell the difference between man and beast, but can speak their language: Dragontongue. Additionally, they are aided by nature, and use this to aide and protect the Hunters on their quest.

But modern times and modern laws have not been kind to them. Hunters are scarce: so scarce, that there are only a handful left.
